1998, Garbage pickup uninterrupted by Veterans Day, Nov. 12, No. 1

NORTHPORT - The city’s public works office was closed on Wednesday in observance of Veteran’s Day.

Garbage service was not interrupted since there is normally no garbage pick-up on Wednesdays. However, residents who have trash pick-up services on Wednesdays will have to wait only one day for trash service to resume on Thursday.
